
The ongoing development of ICT and their use to produce literature (by either recontextualizing or remixing classical printed texts or by producing new ones) are the central concerns of this discussion group. The presenters will challenge the long standing hegemony of the book and the written text and will encourage discussion on new teaching practices to cater for sudents who have had years of “screen time”.
The Presenters
Mariel Amez is a Teacher of English (INSP Rosario and UNR). She is currently a lecturer in English Literature at IES "O. Cossettini" and ISPI "San Bartolomé" (Rosario), a Cambridge ESOL Speaking Examiner and Secretary to APrIR's EC. Her research interests include literature, online learning and teacher education.
Claudia Ferradas, PhD is a graduate from the I.E.S en Lenguas Vivas "Juan Ramón Fernández", where she teaches Language and Literature, and holds a PhD in English Studies (University of Nottingham). She is a consultant for the British Council and has co-chaired Oxford Conferences on the Teaching of Literature.
Yael Hasbani, English Teacher from IES “Juan Ramón Fernández” (Buenos Aires), is a student at “Postítulo de Especialización en Educación y TIC” ( Ministerio de Educación). Former assistant and teacher of Contemporary Literature (Lenguas Vivas, Buenos Aires), she works at secondary school and as a course facilitator at ESSARP centre.
María Florencia Borrello is Licenciada en Inglés from Universidad Nacional del Litoral, and is currently specializing in literature at I.E.S.L.V. “Juan Ramón Fernández”. Former Fulbright Scholar, she now teaches at the U.B.A., School of Engineering, and has extensive experience teaching adults, and at primary education and language institutes. (on video)
